Oh La La - French Themed Bridal Shower

Posted by Jamie Klinger-Krebs on May 15, 2014 9:44:00 AM

French Themed Bridal ShowerWe’re quickly moving into wedding season and that means some of you will be showering the bride with a party. Choose a theme and color and go all-out to honor the bride-to-be.

French Themed Bridal ShowerI decided to take my love of everything French and pink to create a Parisian themed shower.

Guests will know what’s in store as soon as they open the invitation. I found a clip-art Eifel Tower and sized to fit pink stationary.

Then let the shopping

French Themed Bridal Showerbegin. I collected square pink chargers and white, silver, pink and black dishes at Goodwill. Mix and match dishes to make every place setting different.

French Themed Bridal ShowerFrench Themed Bridal ShowerThere are always lots of silk flowers at Goodwill. If you can’t find any in the right color, buy white ones and “dye” the petals with a marker.

You shower the bride with gifts, but make sure every guest goes home with something too. I happened to find mini-hat boxes with pink-and-black polka dots. It came with a hat candle. But you can make your own by covering gift boxes with decorative scrap paper and rubber cement.

Key tags (found at the French Themed Bridal Showeroffice supply store) are perfect for name tags. Dye the tag and string with the same marker and attach to a wine glass.

French Themed Bridal ShowerWhy offer one napkin when two are better? Fold them together and tuck into a wine glass for a little French flair.   Serve French onion soup with croissants, macaroons and champagne for a real taste of Paris.
